Garbage Disposals Great For A San Francisco Kitchen |
|
When you own a kitchen in San Francisco you will probably know how much of a convenience it is to own a garbage disposal. I remember when I myself was renting and the unit I rented in San Francisco did not have a garbage disposal. I think you can only appreciate their use when you don't have one. When you clean your dishes without one you constantly need to remove the food scraps from the strainer and dump them in the bin. When you have a kitchen garbage disposal fitted under the sink you simply run the water turn it on and BAM, no more cleaning of the strainer.
A little advice from a plumber. Don't use your kitchen garbage disposer as a food garbage dump. The drains are really not designed to carry all that food waste and the city sewers don't like it either. You should still dump your food waste into the organic bin or the compost. The garbage disposal is best used to remove the residue scraps that are too small and annoying to remove by hand. Don't listen to the commercials they just want you to buy their product. Do yourself, your drains and your wallet a favor, use your garbage disposal sparingly. If not then be sure sure to call us on Thanksgiving when your kitchen sink drain becomes clogged.
